tv news bulletin task

           Tv news bulletin task

1) What were the five stories your group chose to broadcast?
Greenford news story: three men convicted of the death of a polish man.
National news story: women gave birth outside primark in Birmingham street.
London news story: police are treating the death of Tommy main as unexplained.
Sports news story: Belgium are through to the semi final.
Funny news story: Miley Cyrus declares Birmingham the sluttiest city in the world.

2) For each story above, explain WHY you chose that particular story and not something else. Why would it interest a Greenford audience?
Greenford news story: we choose this story as it informs students that things like this occur near you.
National news story: this story is very intriguing and lightens the mode after
the news of someone being murdered.
London news story: this not only tells people about the news but informs them of the punching game
Sports news story: it tells people about he world cup which is a popular sporting event.
Funny news story: it is just purely entertaining.

3) What order did you broadcast the stories in? Why did you place the stories in that order?
we did not order our broadcast in a particular order as we did not consider this. but primarily we placed them from greenford, national, london, sports and funny.

4) How did you make sure the script was the right length?
we made the bulletins as short as possible to be like headlines but with a bit more detail. with a fluent newsreader it was the right length.

5) How did you make sure each story was clear and easy to understand?
we made each story clear and easy to understand by using short sentences packed full of information so the viewer could gain as much information as possible and understand the news

6) How did you make sure the broadcast was professional?
we made sure that our broadcast was professional by using a formal one and setting out the script in a sensible manner.

7) What was your specific role in the group?
my specific role in the group was the news reader and director.

8) Rate your group’s ability to work collaboratively out of 5 (1=poor, 5=excellent)
overall I would rate my group a 4.

9) How could your group have worked more effectively as a team?
I think that our group would have worked more effectively if we shared the workload out a bit more.

10) Finally, what would you have done differently if you were given the opportunity to do this again?
if we could do this again I would try and share the workload much more equally  and have a more effective script probably.
